About us
Our mission is to pull together those with common interests (dogs) and find ways to celebrate the small things.
About me
My name is Loya, I officially started the Canine Crowd in 2021 to start to get the ball rolling on a dream that I have always had to start my own business. While this is mainly a blog, I hope to grow the business into services to help fellow dog owners build better relationships with their dogs.
About me: I got my first dog that I can consider really my dog, at the age of 16. Her name is Georgia and she changed everything for me. She has been by my side through a roller coaster of adolescent and college years and I can really say that she is what inspires me to pursue some sort a career in the pet industry.
My first industry exposure was when I apprenticed at a dog grooming salon about 45 minutes from where I went to school. I was eager to learn and determined that it could be a fit for me. The groomer that I worked with took me under her wing for the time that I worked there but she pushed me to go to college — so I did.
During my university years, I volunteered a number of times at the animal shelters near by and participated in animal welfare volunteer trips over spring break. That experience actually lead me to fostering a dog for the very first time. While I did end up in a technology focused career path post college, I never lost sight about this dream that I had 8 years ago.
I now have three dogs I consider my pride and joy, Georgia, Corona (named after the beer), and Moonshine. I’ve worked with many trainers in both obedience and agility with all three of my dogs. While we are still very green to the competitive world, Corona and I do actively attend trials for agility and we have big dreams to run with the big dogs someday.
As corny as it sounds, I am just your average dog obsessed, dog owner that really is inspired by the profound bond between humans & their dogs.
